I’m interested in serving on Amara Legal Center’s Board of Directors because, to me, sex trafficking is one of the most egregious issues society faces today. Certainly, there are many issues like homelessness, spousal abuse, violence against children, poverty, rape, etc. that plague the world around us. And if you put all these issues together, you start to get a sense of what sex trafficking survivors have to endure. Most of us can’t even imagine this. Amara Legal Center has boots on the ground on the front lines, helping adults and children directly impacted by sex trafficking. This work is so important and invaluable to those who need it, and I’m proud to be a part of fighting for this cause.
