Daraja Carroll is a part-time Staff Attorney at the Amara Legal Center. Ms. Carroll earned her law degree from the American University Washington College of Law and is licensed to practice law in the District of Columbia and the District Court of the District of Columbia. Ms. Carroll manages a caseload of criminal misdemeanor matters before the D.C. Superior Court and civil matters through the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center. Prior to joining Amara, she served as an attorney for the Neighborhood Legal Services Program. During law school, Ms. Carroll interned with the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights and served as a Student Attorney in the well-regarded Elliott S. Milstein Civil Advocacy Clinic. Ms. Carroll currently serves as a member of the DC Bar Foundation Young Lawyers Network Leadership Council and the DC Bar’s Innovations in Legal Practice Committee.
