Venus Heidari is a part-time Staff Attorney at the Amara Legal Center. Ms. Heidari earned her law degree from the Georgetown University Law Center and is licensed to practice law in the District of Columbia. Prior to joining Amara, she served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Maribeth Raffinan in DC Superior Court. During law school, Ms. Heidari served as a Student Attorney through Georgetown’s Juvenile Justice Clinic where she represented young people charged with crimes in the District of Columbia. She also participated in the Women and Immigration Fieldwork Practicum where she prepared for affirmative asylum cases.
